Vision Scaled Furniture Co. was created from a belief that furniture should feel considered — not only in how it looks, but in how it is made, used, and lived with over time.

I’m Rickey, the maker behind Vision Scaled. Each piece is built with a focus on clean proportion, quiet detail, and lasting presence. My work is influenced by minimalist, Scandinavian, and Japandi design principles — simple forms, natural materials, balanced lines, and a deep respect for craftsmanship.

The goal is to create furniture that settles naturally into a home and brings a sense of calm, warmth, and intention to the room.

A slower, more considered approach

Every Vision Scaled piece begins with proportion. Before a board is cut or a joint is made, I think through how the piece will live in a space: how it meets the floor, how the edges catch light, how the drawers reveal themselves, how the finish softens the wood, and how the overall form supports the rhythm of the room.

This process is intentionally slower. It allows each detail to be refined with care — from joinery and edge profiles to finish tone and final surface feel. The result is furniture that feels grounded, restrained, and quietly elevated.

Built by hand, guided by design

My work blends traditional furniture-making techniques with a modern design sensibility. Clean joinery, soft edges, balanced reveals, and carefully chosen materials are central to the way each piece is built.

I use solid wood and durable hardwax-oil finishes selected to preserve the natural character of the material while supporting everyday use. The finish is soft to the touch, low-sheen, and designed to age naturally with the piece.

Each item is made with the intention of becoming part of daily life — not just something placed in a room, but something that contributes to the feeling of the home.
